Refund Policy: Registrations 2024/25
All refunds are subject to an administrative fee for processing. Player withdrawal after registration can be disruptive to our leagues, the Vancouver District, VAFC, and other potential players. Our refund policy is intended to support certainty before and after team formation and selection.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES & WAIT LISTS
All players (U4-U18) are encouraged to register early to ensure a spot on a team. Registrations received after July 31st may be placed on a wait list.

VOLUNTEER FEES

VAFC relies on volunteers to deliver our programming. Find out more about VAFC volunteer opportunities and volunteer fee reimbursement at VAFC Volunteers. Fees for U7 through U18, except for VAFC Rovers, have a separate $65 volunteer fee. The volunteer fee will be reimbursed for up to 3 team officials per team including coaches, assistant coaches, and managers. The reimbursement is provided after November upon confirmation of volunteer participation. Volunteer fees are not charged for U11 to U13 VAFC Rovers programs.

UNIFORM FEES
VAFC does not charge an additional uniform fee for U4-U10 House Leagues and U11 to U18 Div2 and Div3 teams: Kits are provided as part of the registration fee and players must return them at the end of the season. Replacements for lost or non returned uniform kits will be charged $50 (U4-U10) or up to $100 (U11+). Any player or team also may purchase personal training gear through the VAFC club store.

DIV1/Metro and VAFC Rovers teams are required to purchase a personal VAFC uniform and training kit if they do not own one from a previous season.

Development

VAFC offers player development in addition to our normal soccer program. Currently we are able to to provide opportunities for players aged 5 to 13, and will be phasing in additional programs for our older players as we are able to do so. All programs provide professional coaching under the direction of Club Head Coach and Technical Director, Steve Weston. The program compliments the coaching provided by team coaches.

These sessions are open for all players wishing to improve their all-round technical ability and soccer skills. The philosophy of the program is not only to keep soccer fun, but to instill good and consistent training habits, and a good strong work ethic as well as constant ongoing skill development.

Any financial assistance questions can be sent to the Registrar by email:  registrar@vafc.ca

VAFC is committed to all levels of program development and competition.

VAFC offers a team program that are appropriate for all ages and levels, with the following goals in mind:

  • Developing outstanding young players with an age-appropriate soccer curriculum focused on technical training and player development.
  • Promoting an attractive, creative and organized style of soccer.
  • Creating a positive learning environment that reinforces the principles by which to train, compete and pursue excellence.
