Vancouver Athletic FC is a grassroots community soccer club providing quality soccer experiences year-round for both girls and boys of all ages.
The Head Referee will: ● Instruct Small-Sided and Entry-Level Referee Courses, meeting all required BC Soccer instructor qualifications. ● Deliver ongoing education sessions for the club’s referee pool throughout the season. ● Provide referee coordination, including support with assignments, communication, and scheduling needs. ● Offer referee mentorship, including on-field observation, evaluation, and constructive feedback. ● Build out and enhance the VAFC Referee Program, including policies, development pathways, and club standards. ● Create and maintain an ongoing grading and progression system to support the growth of young referees. ● Develop and oversee a reporting system for referee performance, issues, and development tracking.
Grasshoppers U3-U5 Coordinator
Vancouver Athletic FC is seeking an energetic and creative coach to lead our Grasshoppers program — introducing children ages 3–5 to soccer and movement through play.
This part-time, seasonal role combines hands-on coaching with light coordination to ensure a fun, engaging experience for players and families. The ideal candidate loves working with young children, communicates well with parents, and brings enthusiasm and organization to every session.
Hours: 25–30 per month (up to 35–40 during peak seasons)
Location: Local parks and gyms across Vancouver

Field Liner
Part Time
VAFC is looking to fill the position of grass field liner. This is a part time position that is 4 – 6 hours per week. There are approximately 20 fields that will be required to be lined every week.
What is field lining of a grass field?
Lining consists of using paint (on the field) that defines the end line, side line, goalie area of each field. The dimensions will differ between fields based on the age group playing.
Is there training involved with this position?
Training will be provided for the chosen applicant.
