Vancouver MWSL Selects Division VAFC Lionesses

Vancouver Athletic FC is home to Female and Male adult players at various levels. Many players within the program were previously VAFC youth players who continue their passion for soccer through play, and many players are also coaches, referees, or parents within the Club. We believe in the role that soccer and team sports play in providing life lessons and building character, and how they support successful and productive futures for all ages!

Frequently Asked Questions

Men’s and Women’s Adult Leagues

Answers for the most common questions about adult soccer in our club!

The The registration process for adult players differs from that used for youth players. Adult players must be assessed before being accepted on a team, and then registered directly through the league that the team is playing in. Registration details are provided to players upon acceptance to a team

All adult teams play home and away games against other teams in their leagues. Most will play a balanced schedule. Since we are a large club, our teams play their games on different days of the week. As a result of this and limits on field availability, there is no single home field for our teams. During the past winter season, our women’s teams played their home games at Andy Livingstone Park, Van Tech School, and Jericho turf, and our men’s teams played their home games at Trillium Park, Empire turf, and Memorial South turf.

Depending on the level of play and scarcity of fields, training varies from once to twice a week with one game on the weekend.

Depending on field availability, adult training typically starts after 8 p.m. Earlier start times are reserved for youth teams.

New players are assessed in training by team coaches to determine if they are compatible. Successful trialists will be invited to register.
