08 Sep Cleat Exchange This Weekend!
The 6th annual Cleat Exchange is being held this weekend, September 14th.
Look for our VAFC tent and flags at Douglas Park, 9am—3pm.
We’re looking forward to giving families the chance to donate, swap or pick up cleats and shin pads at a fantastic price!
How the Cleat Exchange Works (It’s Easy)
- Come to the Douglas Park West field with your gently used, clean cleats and/or shin pads for donation from 9am-3pm.
- Receive a ticket for each item that you’ve brought in.
- Use your ticket to “purchase” equipment donated by someone else.
- Check back during the day if you don’t see what you need right away.
- If you don’t have anything to donate, you can purchase donated cleats for $5 or shin pads for $2. WHAT A BARGAIN!
All funds raised this year will be donated to Jumpstart, a Canadian Tire children’s charity which provides financial assistance to help children play sports in our community.
We Need Volunteers to Help at the Cleat Exchange
We would love your help. Students can earn volunteer hour credits for school, and parents can put in some of their Club volunteer commitment with their kids! Please email Siobhan Jackson to sign up for 1.5 hr shifts between 8:30am—3:30pm on September 14th.
